Update #1 - Hard Work
Pixel Fantasy Chronicles Update #1 - Hard Work
Hello, welcome to the first update of Pixel Fantasy Chronicles v1.1. This update is more focused on the premium version than the free one, but the free version has also been updated, though only with one element. To be brief, this update includes fixes and new content.
Well, before wrapping up this introduction, I want to say thank you for the support the pack received in its first week. I was pleasantly surprised, and it motivated me to release an update as soon as possible. There’s no doubt this won’t be the only one, more updates coming soon! Thanks again for your support and for reading this devlog. Have a great day!
Fixes:
I had to redo a large part of the high cliff because there were things that, at least for me, didn’t quite fit. The main issue was the ground tile—it looked weird compared to the other ground tiles, almost like they weren’t part of the same set. So, I decided to make it match the ground tiles better. I also fixed the middle and bottom cliff tiles because they didn’t tile properly. The bottom tiles are now more straight and horizontal instead of diagonal.
The wooden bridge got a small change related to shadows. I had forgotten to add that detail earlier. The stone fence also didn’t tile well with the rest of its own tileset, so I modified it, and now it’s fixed and can be used properly.
Btw the free version also includes the fixed wooden bridge!
Cliff:
I implemented new high cliffs, this time with water around them to match the waterfalls.
Outdoor Decoration:
I was going to add a lot more outdoor decoration elements, but I was running out of time and didn’t want to delay publishing this update any longer. So, it’s much more condensed than what I had originally planned, but it’s enough for now.
This update includes paired logs of different sizes, more box variations, a metal bucket with and without water, a log seat, two mailboxes, and finally, clouds with their shadows and full versions.
Boat:
The boat is animated in two ways, one with a splash and the other just moving its shadow while floating. You can decide how to use each one. I had also planned to add the rope, but I didn’t have enough time, so that will be for the next update.
The animations are in separate sheets for each direction, and there’s also a single sheet that includes all directions. The splash and non-splash versions are organized into different folders, each with their own sheets.
